Create Your Peace with the New Oprah and Deepak Meditation Experience

oprah-deepak-meditation-creating-peace-from-the-inside-outThis is a Public Service Announcement to all my fellow Yogis!  The latest meditation from the Oprah and Deepak Meditation Experience series called Creating Peace From the Inside Out: The Power of Connection is out for FREE right now.

As each day of the challenge is available for 5 days from the day it is posted, you want to make sure that you don’t miss a full week so there’s still time to sign up right here!

Day 1 started yesterday on Halloween and today I completed Day 2 of the challenge. I gotta say that for the 2 years that I’ve been doing these Experiences and comparing them other meditation programs, Oprah and Deepak’s Meditations have yet to disappoint me so far.

For those who aren’t familiar, the 21-day meditations are a series of meditation challenges created by Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra. Each Experience focuses on a particular theme.

To celebrate the release of every new program, the Chopra Center Meditation offers free streaming of the entire 21-day Meditation Experience  on your desktop computer and other device of your choice (phone or tablet).  After the challenge is over,  you can purchase the programs for continued streaming or buy the CD.

How Are The 21-Day Meditation Experiences Like?

Oprah starts each daily session with an intro and then it’s followed by Deepak’s words of wisdom on theme of the Experience. Deepak guides us to set intentions and a mantra which helps us stay focused when we meditate. Each daily challenge is  about 20 minutes and has calming, soothing, instrumental background music (different songs each day).

What I like about these free meditations is that you always get to try before you buy.

While I enjoy almost all the meditations that Oprah and Deepak offer us since I discovered them 2 years ago, I feel that while they address universal themes which we can relate to l (Perfect Health; Grace Through Gratitude; Creating Abundance; Shedding the Weight: Mind, Body, and Spirit, etc), I find that some themes resonate with me more in different times in my life.  However, even when a particular theme in the meditation doesn’t quite apply to me at the very moment in my life, I always learn something new and get a new perspective so it’s worth having an open mind.

Why Would I Want To Start A Regular Meditation Practice Today?

There are a lot of reasons! These include:lady-gaga-meditation-deepak-chopra-fan

I have enjoyed reading a book or 2 by Deepak Chopra. He has many interesting ideas and philosophies. I didn’t know he had teamed up with Oprah. I am sure these 21 day series are very popular. I know meditation is so good for your mind and body. Perhaps I will give it a try. Thanks for the info.

    • I actually never read any of his books! I know he just launched a new one with Kimberly Snyder called “Radical Beauty”. This may be the time for me to pick it up.

It’s so awesome that they doing this! AND it’s for free! I can attest to the health benefits of meditation. I don’t know how I’d be if I didn’t start my day with it. I shouldn’t be surprised at all that Oprah has a hand in this 21-day challenge. She’s always been known for her gifts. This reminded me that I should try getting into basic yoga exercises. Just to try it out—nothing too advanced. 🙂

    • The Oprah and Deepak Chopra collaboration is really special! I’m so happy that this is an ongoing thing. Their programs have so much value!

    Hi there,

It’s great that this is free. I’ve been having real trouble with my sleep patterns recently which I think has been brought on by anxiety and stress (thanks modern World).

I must admit, this is all new to me but I need to do something and 20 minutes daily is easily attained.

Is there a follow-on course after the 21 days?

    • Meditation will definitely get your sleep patterns in order. The key is to consistently meditate everyday even twice a day in this case.
After the 21-days are up you would have to purchase the program. However, if you sign up to their newsletter you will get e-mails whenever a new free Meditation Experience is available (I notice they release a new one about every 6 months).

I find that these meditations to be very accessible and they actually make me want to meditate. In the past when I used other programs, I had a much harder time sticking to them but everyone is different.

I have never tried meditation before, but I think this would be a great option for me to try. I have been having health issues and sleep issues this year and I think that this may be the balance that I need in my life. What program do you suggest after the 21 days is up if I’d like to continue meditation?

    • Vanessa Vanessa

Hi Guy, for me the Oprah and Deepak 21-day meditations work best for me. I don’t think there is a better meditation series than the Oprah and Deepak meditations and they offer bundles to purchase which come out cheaper than buying the individual programs (those go on sale sometimes too).

I’ve done Headspace (on and off), Andrew Johnson (his stuff were the first meditations I’ve done 2 years ago; his voice is very soothing which is great for sleep), Paul Scheele (whom I don’t like but may work for you) and some others which I can’t exactly remember. I’m sorry to hear about your health and sleep problems. Meditation and yoga can really help!

Hi Vanessa, I love Deepak Chopra’s work. I bought my first Chopra books and cassette tapes about 30 years ago. I still have the tape set “Magical Mind Magical Body” today. It is timeless wisdom. My mother is into yoga and meditation. She’s in her 80’s but does look it or act it. A difference body, mind and spirit balance can make!

    • Vanessa Vanessa

Yoga and meditation definitely have anti-aging benefits. Stress is a major factor in aging so I’m not surprised to hear that because your mother practices yoga and meditation, she looks and feels so much younger.

Wow! You’re such a dedicated fan. Have you read his latest book Radical Beauty?

Hi Vanessa, the title caught my eye and I was really curious about this meditation. Oprah and Deepak are both my favourite personalities/authors and I am glad that they have collaborated on this now. You mention it is is free, but that is in November – is it still valid today? Thanks for also sharing what we can expect from the 21-day session – sounds good. I am looking forward to working with it!

    • Vanessa Vanessa

Hi Lily! The meditations are only free when they are just released as a way of promoting the program. Once the 21 days are up, you will have to purchase the program if you want to have access. If you sign up to my newsletter, I’ll let you know when the next free 21-day meditation challenge is released. Thanks for stopping by.
